CLIENTS
Between us, we’ve worked for vast numbers of broadcasters and production companies around the world.
We’ve made programmes for them, we’ve delivered training and helped companies set up businesses. We’ve organised conferences, been on boards, appeared on panels.
Here are just some of the companies we’ve enjoyed our association with.

About the event
Presented by MMA’s Denise Eriksen.
As screen creatives, many of us have anxieties about pitching our ideas to other people - it’s understandable when the stakes can be high - but being able to pitch your ideas confidently, clearly, and persuasively is a crucial skill.
In this session, Media Mentors’ Denise Eriksen - who brings extensive experience pitching to production companies and as a commissioner for Australian broadcasters including the ABC and SBS - shares her insights and practical advice on how to pitch to commissioning editors…and, crucially, what NOT to do!!
In this interactive and entertaining workshop, she’ll explore the importance of identifying the right broadcaster or platform for your project, how to find out who to actually send your pitch to, and how to nail the all-important meeting when you’re invited in to pitch to the commissioner (and sometimes a whole commissioning team, gulp!) and convince them to back your big idea.
As someone who’s been on the receiving end of pitches (excellent and awful!) over the years, Denise will give us a “commissioner’s eye view” of what makes commissioning editors sit up and listen - and, conversely, what makes them zone out! And she’ll share some of her own experiences pitching to executives and lessons she learnt the hard way!
This is a must-attend workshop for anyone developing film and TV projects who is already having dread about pitching to commissioners - or who wants to hone their pitching skills for success.
Denise Eriksen’s Bio:
I bloody love “television” – creative content made for all platforms – and my career has allowed me to play in that particular sandpit for more years than I can remember! I binge watch everything from high-end (and low rent) drama and documentary to factual and reality shows.
I’ve worked as a journalist, producer and Executive Producer around the world - and in brilliant jobs as Head of Factual and Head of Current Affairs at the ABC and Head of Production and Development at SBS.
My career highlights? Making shows that audiences love, create careers or educate while entertaining. Oh – and bringing Australia’s own Eurovision broadcasts to SBS.
