Presented by Leigh Pickford, this workshop is a unique opportunity to learn from one of Australia’s most prolific and accomplished Casting Directors. As you would expect, Leigh has seen more than a few self-tapes in his screen career (!) and in this session will provide an in-depth guide explaining everything actors need to know about self-taped auditions, from gear and attire to readers and filming.

Self-tapes are more important than ever for working actors, but making the perfect self-tape entails more than just performing lines. The more clued up you are on the do’s and don’ts of this practice, the better placed you’ll be to create professional, highly polished tapes that could end up making all the difference to your chances of getting cast or called in to audition.

In this workshop, you’ll discover all there is to know about self-taping techniques. The aim of this workshop is to develop the actor’s skills in mastering the self-tape process and to help further understand how a well produced tape can elevate your performance and chances of getting hired.

This session is aimed at both emerging and more experienced actors. It will benefit those hoping to audition for productions both in Australia and overseas. And the good news is that the techniques presented in this workshop can be very simply followed by even the greatest technophobe!
